The President of the University of Basra honors the college for achieving advanced rankings in the Iraqi National Ranking results for the academic year 2024-2025

The President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, honored the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences for achieving high rankings in the Iraqi National University Rankings. The ceremony was held in the presence of the University President's assistants, deans of other colleges, and a number of faculty members and other dignitaries. The President presented the award to the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Majid Muhammad Jassim, and the heads of distinguished departments, recognizing their outstanding academic performance. This performance contributed to the College's leading position among more than one hundred public and private universities across Iraq, as well as its achievement of an "Excellent" rating in the evaluation of the Iraqi academic landscape.

During the ceremony, the President emphasized that this achievement is clear evidence of the College's distinguished academic standing and the significant efforts exerted by its deanship, faculty, and staff in developing the educational and research processes and raising academic quality standards. The Head of the Computer Science Department was honored with the Excellence Shield for the department's first-place ranking among Iraqi universities. The Head of the Physics Department received the award for the department's second-place ranking, and the Head of the Chemistry Department also received the Excellence Shield for the department's third-place ranking. The University President noted that achieving high rankings in the national classification reflects institutional commitment and teamwork, contributing to enhancing the university's standing at both the national and regional levels. The ceremony also included honoring Professor Dr. Hussein Ali Badran, Head of the Quality Assurance Unit at the college, in recognition of his outstanding efforts, which have significantly contributed to strengthening academic performance standards and raising the level of compliance with accreditation and ranking requirements.

For his part, the Dean of the College expressed his gratitude to the University Presidency for this honor, emphasizing that this achievement is the fruit of continuous collective efforts and an incentive to continue working and achieving further successes that serve the university's academic mission
